I honestly have nooooo idea where to put this so sorry if it is in the wrong place, feel free to delete or move.
I'm getting FoW armor in, i'd say, 2 weeks if all goes well and I forgot in all the excitment that I had to pick a type! (Inscription)
What types of armor do you have? (Monk that have obsidian only please)
Why did you pick that type?
Are you satisfied with it?

This is a big decision indeed and picking the wrong armor type for the wrong reasons would be devistating for me because, i've been saving for a long time. Thanks for any suggestions they are VERY appreciated.

I would go with Wanderers or if not something that increases you HP more.I hope you enjoy I never really liked FoW but now I do on Monks.

Buy the inscribable set. This prevents you from wasting your money in the event that you make an uninformed/misguided decision about the mods.

He was simply asking what kind of Obsidian Armor we selected when we crafted it.

I personally bought full +health armor, but had a long decision between that, and Judges, which is +10 armor vs Physical. I also carry a full set of Wanderer's, and Judges (Regular not FoW) in which I use based on the current PvP meta. Inscribable was not around when I crafted mine, but should be an obvious choice now.

There's a really good thread from a while ago about reasoning behind the different armor choice for monks, maybe someone can link that up.

Anywyas, grats on saving up, and post your picture in the monk gallery.

Yea I was only asking what monk with obi armor crafted. Any opinions are welcome. Well...completely forgot about the insignia armor version so now it IS an obvious choice. Thanks for the help guys, I'll be sure to post a pic when I get it

Well I went for the energy. I play PvE only and so hp and armour are not an issue as I don't often attract aggro. Very happy with it (female monk).

i love my female fow, apprt form derv its the onyl one i like, male fow is crud. i went for the HP one, on my PVE monk works a charm, now the the aggro scatter the hp is more usefull

i got my tourquios with was a mix of green nad blue at the tiem i think it looks so cool. i must have wasted about 10k on dys b4 i found the dye sheet then found the colour i wanted

That still doesn't justify the obsidian limitation in the question. Obsidian doesn't have special mods, so there's no logical reason for why users with Obsidian armor contribute more relevant statistics than all monks in general.

Example: If all Obsidian users had +energy, all 15k users had +hp, all 5k users had +armor, is the obsidian statistic more relevant than the 15k? Is the 15k more relevant than the 5k? My point is that the price of the armor doesn't factor into the discussion at all, regardless of what type you, yourself are buying.

What you really should be looking at is what GvG monks are using. The difficulty of PvE is so low that you don't even need mods on your armor, so people can get away with anything.

He's assuming that all monks have approximately 1 set of obsidian armor, therefore they will suggest an ideal type for a very expensive set like that. It's stupid and self-contradictory, but that's why it's relevant.
